Izzly Pty Ltd ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Yehna mobile application (the "Service"). We believe privacy isn't just a feature; it's a right. This page explains how we handle your information.

1. Secure Cloud Storage & Syncing

To ensure your subscription works across all your devices and to prevent data loss if you lose your phone, Yehna utilises cloud storage.

Where it lives:

Your account data is stored securely on Supabase, a professional database provider.

Why we store it:

This allows you to log in on a new device and pick up right where you left off.

2. Information We Collect

Unlike many apps that track everything, we only collect what is strictly necessary to manage your account and preferences:

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and first name (optional). This is used solely to authenticate you and manage your subscription.
  • Support Data: If you email us for support, we will see your email address and name to help resolve your issue.
  • Nutritional Goal Settings: We store the numerical targets you set (e.g., your protein, carb, or fibre goals) so the app can perform calculations on scanned products.

3. Medical Data vs. Nutritional Goals

It is important to distinguish between the nutritional maths we help you with and your private medical history.

  • No Progress Tracking: Yehna is a scanner, not a diary. We do not track what you eat, we do not save a history of your daily consumption, and we do not monitor your progress over time. We simply calculate how a single product contributes to the goal you set.
  • No Medical Profiling: Yehna does not ask for, collect, or store specific medical conditions, diagnoses, or allergy lists. There is no functionality within the app to create a clinical "health profile."

4. Community Contributions & AI Processing

If you choose to contribute to our community database by scanning a new product:

  • What happens: If a product isn't in our database, you can take a photo of the packaging. This photo is securely transmitted to our servers.
  • Public Display: The photo of the product packaging (specifically the front image) will be visible to other users of Yehna. This helps the community recognise the product on the shelf.
  • AI Processing: We use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to read the ingredients and nutritional information from the photo.
  • Privacy: We do not analyse the background of the photo. Please try to photograph only the product packaging to avoid accidentally including personal items or people in the background.

5. Subscriptions

Yehna is 100% user-funded. We do not sell data, we do not have advertisers, and we do not engage in affiliate marketing.

  • Payment Processing: All transactions are handled directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process or store your credit card information.
  • Subscription Validation: We use a privacy-focused tool called RevenueCat to validate your subscription receipt with Apple or Google. This service utilises an anonymous App User ID to verify that your "Pro" status is active.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally as the app evolves. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
